POLICY IN THE AREA OF PROTECTING WORKERS FROM RETALIATION WHEN REPORTING INCIDENTS, HAZARDS, RISKS AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
Within our organisation we aim to have an integrated management system that enables us to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses to workers and ensure safe and healthy workplaces. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that the organisation eliminates hazards and minimises risks related to OSH by taking effective preventive and protective measures.
The implementation and maintenance of an integrated management system, its effectiveness and its ability to achieve its intended results depend on several key factors including:
consultation and participation of workers and where they exist, their representatives; the existence of an effective process for identifying hazards, controlling risks related to SHS and gaining benefits from exploiting SHS opportunities;
In order to achieve this it is very important to develop, drive and promote a culture within the organisation, which supports the intended outcomes of the integrated management system.
In this respect it is essential that workers can report incidents, hazards, risks and opportunities without fear of possible retaliation from any other worker or stakeholder. We are therefore committed to ensuring this protection of workers regardless of the subject matter reported and to taking measures to eliminate any threats that may arise or manifest themselves in relation to this subject.
Accordingly, any person performing work or work-related activities under the control of our organization (whether or not an employee of our organization) may report directly to their direct managers, the designated worker or directly to the organization’s top management any matter directly or indirectly related to possible incidents, hazards, risks and opportunities for OSH.
We are committed to promptly reviewing this information and acting accordingly to avoid any possible work-related injuries and illnesses to workers and to ensure safe and healthy workplaces within our organization.
Every employee of our organization has a duty to act within the spirit of this policy. Document code: PROTECTION POLICY, Ed. 1 / 15.01.2021
